Featured facts are singular blocks sprinkled in other sections that highlight some of the lesser known services or benefits WSDOT offers.
The Featured facts should all be managed in a single section of the CMS and tagged with a main category/topic so they are integrated into sections that make sense. For example – a featured fact about induction loops should be tagged with Travel so it doesn’t show up in the Business with WSDOT section.
Featured fact locations should be determined by the Web Team and updated frequently so the content stays fresh.
The page templates/components that currently are good places for featured facts are: The Basic page right sidebar, Real-Time Travel Data landing page, and Real-Time Travel data child pages. There are many content pages throughout the site that would be great locations for these.
